Price Range €10–20

Atelier Giri sits quietly on Klingelbeek, offering a blend of café charm and a mindful approach to vegan dining. This cozy spot feels like a calm retreat from Arnhem’s busier streets, making it a fitting place to slow down and enjoy thoughtfully prepared food and drinks. With a focus on plant-based options, it naturally draws in those who appreciate both health-conscious choices and a tranquil setting.

The atmosphere leans into simplicity and a touch of nature, supported by a small garden that adds a splash of greenery and calmness to the experience. Customers often come midday or early afternoon, when light filters softly through the windows, though it’s worth noting their pastries can sell out quickly, especially on weekends or later in the day. Arriving early gives you the best shot at sampling some of their sweeter offerings, like the carrot cake or the cruffins — the latter sometimes freshly baked during your visit.

Drinks like the matcha latte and hojicha latte stand out here, appreciated for their quality and the care visible in their preparation. These are ideal companions for anyone looking to leisurely unwind or catch up on reading. The menu also highlights savory vegan dishes such as the Dandan Udon Spicy Noodle Soup and Kare Pan, though some visitors find the pricing on hot dishes a little steep compared to how filling they are.

Service at Atelier Giri is friendly and welcoming, contributing further to the relaxed vibe. However, the ordering process can feel a bit slow or disorganized at times, especially when the café gets busy. For those planning to drop by for dinner, making a reservation is wise, particularly on Friday nights, when the “That Summer Evening Dinner” is available and features fresh, thoughtfully prepared plant-based fare that tends to impress first-timers.

Overall, Atelier Giri fits well as a quiet spot for tea lovers, vegans, or anyone seeking a gentle pace in Arnhem’s café scene. It suits people who appreciate craft in their food and drink, alongside a peaceful atmosphere that encourages lingering. Visiting post-lunch hours or early evening allows you to experience different sides of the place—from a cozy daytime refuge to a calm, intimate dining spot.

It’s a very cute place and the menu is really nice. We got there around 2pm and most pastries were already sold out. The carrot cake was great though and about an hour later they made a new batch of cruffins. The system needs major improvement though.it doesn’t look like they have their own task, ordering takes a while as well as getting your order. They also said they ran out of ice when the girl before me in line ordered something, so she had to change her order. Then minutes later all sorts of iced drinks came out, even mine was iced when I didn’t ask for an iced drink. I don’t understand how something like that can happen but it comes off as very disorganized. They didn’t go up to the girl to apologize or offer her the iced drink anyway. I think that would have been the move but again, the service/organization just isn’t on that level. Definitely go for a drink there but make sure you’ve got plenty of time and patience.

I first want to start by saying this place is a hidden gem. The surrounding is so tranquil and perfect for a slow day. The food is great, the matcha is of high quality and the pastries are insanely delicious. I can feel (and see) that they were prepared with great care. But then many already said it, Atelier Giri really needs to find a more suitable way of working. I came two times, first time I ordered matcha latte and matcha afrogato, matcha cruffin and mochi to takeaway. It took quite some time to get our order, even it wasn't busy. The second time I stayed to eat lunch. Dan dan noodles was very very flavourful. Matcha is just perfect. Though it took maybe 45-60 mins to get anything and I was sad that others that ordered after got theirs first. After a while there's suddenly a long queue to the kassa so we left without having dessert :( I still want to give you 5 stars, because I will keep coming here and hopefully see improvements!

Hidden gem, Staff was extremely nice and created a serene atmosphere food was surprising and delicious. The cakes are fire chef. Loved the vegan theme and the little garden. Absolute banger. Also that price is a steal.

A hidden gem in Arnhem! You would never expect that there's a cafe in this neighbourhood that has a very serene atmosphere. I really like their mini garden and the overall design of the cafe. The matcha and pastry were really tasty, they're must-try! Unfortunately I'm not a big fan of their udon, I found it a bit too pricey. Anyway, their services were quite quick and very friendly. I was greeted warmly by the staffs, so this is a plus point. I came there on Saturday noon, I didn't see any line or crowds. I'll definitely come back soon!

Atelier Giri popped up on my instagram and I knew I had to try it. My friend also recommended it to me and brought me to try it. We came for dinner and tried their “That Summer Evening Dinner”. (You should make reservations for Friday dinner!) You have to walk a bit into the restaurant if you are coming with public transport. Dinner was really fresh and good. We both got their “Mandarin ‘Duck’ Cold Noodle” (plant based) for our mains; I went for the Matcha Wabi Sabi for dessert and my friend went for the “Homemade Bao Buns Bamboo” (it was a starter but who cares? ) for a savoury end! Everything was really tasty, the staff were really polite and friendly, and ambience was also really nice and peaceful. All in all a superb experience. My only regret is that I haven’t tried the cakes and match drinks - but I’m definitely coming back again!

The cutest place to enjoy all kinds of matcha drinks and delicious pastries. We took the train to Arnhem especially to see this sweet place, it even has a garden with a small allotment! Very nicely designed space and clean bathrooms. Pastries were vegan 5

Atelier Giri has probably one of the best, or if not the BEST matcha I have drank. Just the right amount of sweetness and bitterness for me. I strongly reccomend their Strawberry Matcha Latte and to get one of their pastries as well! On my first visit with my friend, I got a cheesecake and on my second visit, I got a tart. I came down from Wageningen right after my exams to treat myself to something delish, and I think Atelier Giri really hits the spot for me I’m so glad to have chanced upon this quaint matcha cafe in Arnhem but unfortunately I’ll be going back to my home country soon. If I can come back to the Netherlands, I am definitely going to give Atelier Giri a visit. Do visit Atelier Giri if you are in the area
